Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Hi there, due to personal reasons I did not successfully complete 255 last semester for which I had deferred the final exam and therefore was not able to add the course to my schedule this semester on time. I am already caught up in the first 3 weeks content as I have had access to the material from last semester and therefore would not be behind in the course if I add it into my schedule now. I was really hoping to not fall further behind in my degree and would very much appreciate it if this course could be added in for me this semester. I also do recognize that it does conflict with the time of another one of my courses. Nonetheless, in 255 all the course videos are posted online and given that I have ADHD, I learn better through watching the lectures in my own space with no distractions anyways and feel I can better prepare in this way. I very much appreciate your help.
