Course: ARTH120
Dear associate Dean,
Thank you for giving me a chance to add to the course. I took ARTH120 in the fall semester, and l got a GPA of 3.3. During the winter course selection, l had a time conflict between the ARTH120 tutorial and another course. So, l wanted to change another time tutorial. On January 8th, l had to drop this course or the system would show that this course has already in your schedule. Then, l dropped it in order to search for the same course but a different tutorial. There are nine same courses but different tutorial choices. When l wanted to add the same course but a different tutorial ARTH120, the system showed that you have to add A first. The B part will be automatically added. So l could not add B then. Sorry that l did not contact you immediately because l thought that l might try to take a new course to try new things. With two full weeks of study, l think ARTH120 is a better choice for me. Last semester, due to the visa issue, l could not arrive at the campus on time. Visa was sent to me at the end of September. I submit all my material for visa on time(l submitted my materials in June, not in July or August which can cause late submission). l did not submit my material late. But l still got my visa late. Though l encountered difficulties, l still kept learning. I caught up normal syllabus as best as l could. Though I only got C in my midterm, through going to lectures, reading textbooks, taking notes, and reviewing notes every week. I got a B on the final test.
For catching up in this course, l will first read the textbook and look at the slides that the professor posted on ONQ, which is a similar method that l caught up with others last semester. Then, if l have a question, l will ask TA or professor for help. Last semester, l was late for a whole month. I tried my best to catch up. The result is not bad.
Sorry about adding the course late. Last two weeks, l wanted to try something new, but now l find that this course is the best choice for me.
