Petition Letter
Petition Letter: Hello Dean,
When enrolling into POLS 437, I had accidentally referred to the course as POLS 434, in my initial email to Cythnia. I have attended all the courses for POLS 437 and completed all course work at this time. I was not added to the onq page but did not require the onq page for readings as I was able to access the required readings through the library portal. My professor had mentioned to me that it may be possible that I was accidentally enrolled into the wrong course and this is the case. I reached out to Cynthia to apologize and explain the situation to her and she has explained that a formal request to appeal is required because it is passed the course drop period.
This is my own fault. I listed the professor, the date and time, but mistakenly written the wrong course code in my email to Cynthia, despite appropriately addressing the course professor and time of classes. I am hoping to drop the current course that I have accidentally been enrolled in POLS 434, and complete the enrolment process for POLS 437 as initially intended.
Once again, I really want to stress that this is no fault of anyone but my own, as I had mistakenly referred to the wrong course code in my email.
It is really important that I complete one final POLS credit at the 400 level as this is the last course I need to graduate. If there is anything that can be done please let me know. I am really hopeful that this oversight on my part will not defer my plans to graduate and recognize that this is an issue that has arisen as a result of my own mistake and took full accountability.
Blessings,
Alisha

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: My academic plan is to continue with the course that I am attending and complete the remainder of readings. I have really enjoyed the course and it has been interesting and engaging. The professor is wonderful and the group of students that I am with facilitate discussions really well. I participate actively in discussions and have completed all course work and readings.
