- The Associate Dean's decision did not follow the rules of procedural fairness. A breach of procedural fairness includes such things as the Associate Dean failed to:
- Make a reasonable decision in your appeal. A “reasonable” decision is one that is based on evidence, thought out and supported by facts and logical inferences from the facts. To be reasonable, the decision must contain adequate reasons for the conclusions.
Appeal Letter
Appeal Letter: Hi there,
I am currently a second year student writing you today to over view the decision of denial towards my appeal for RELS. I wrote a appeal letter early on during the school year and I am 100% for sure that the dean did not understand my reasoning of appeal for the summer school credit. I did not engage in anything with this summer school class, I did not do any work for the class or anything at all, I had dropped this class after the deadline and the F shows on my transcript that is pulling down my GPA.
in the initial appeal I wrote to the dean I had asked for an appeal for 3 classes RELS being one of them. my situation During the fall term had nothing to do with my summer school class and I believe that the dean misunderstood and believes that I want to drop the class for a reason that did not have to do with this situation at all. I am kindly asking to review the decision of the appeal for the summer school credit as I did not even do the class for it to be an F on my transcript. I had a terrible first year and second year has made me gather things and do better which is why im asking to please review and drop RELS off my transcript.
