In this petition letter, I am asking to drop course PHIL 260 of this winter term. The reason for this has to do with some challenges I have faced over both this semester and the previous. This year overall has been quite psychologically challenging as I have burnt out and missing the mental strength to push through my courses. As I am sure you can verify, I seeked for accommodation for health reason last semester and have been seeking help at the student wellness this semester by speaking to a counsellor.
I have done my due diligence in seeking the help I need and ultimately decided not to make my accommodations permanent and give my best efforts in my courses. Nonetheless, I am behind in the course and have had a hard time catching up in my classes, which takes time away from my other courses.
I would want to retake this course again next year for a better chance to provide my best efforts and do well in this course.
