Petition Letter: Dear Dean?
I am writing this letter to obtain your help in dealing with what is happening to me now. I would like to appeal my dropping of this semester's classes and the cancellation of classes I failed last semester.
In the early morning hours of August 23, 2022, I was involved in a serious car accident. Luckily I was not injured, but I was left with psychological trauma. This incident has had a serious impact on me and has disrupted my studies and my life. I even applied for academic consideration last semester but still did not get a good grade. The severe trauma caused me sleep problems and caused attention deficit and a lot of anxiety and depression. These problems affected my studies so much that I did not have enough energy to do my homework and prepare for exams so I could not get good grades. These weak academic performances would further aggravate my anxiety and depression.
I would like to drop this semester's classes and cancel the classes I failed last semester.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: The following are plans for achieving academic success:
First, I will enroll in two courses during the summer semester to supplement some progress. In addition, courses dropped in the fall and winter semesters I will retake the following semester.
Furthermore, I now have regular physical therapy and psychotherapy to help me recover and relieve my trauma. All of the university academic advisors and the student wellness center were very friendly and provided me with valuable information and helpful assistance.
