Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: To whom this may concern,
I am writing this appeal to drop WRIT 125 because it is no longer needed in my plan to study as I thought it would when I first enrolled and I am concerned it will jeopardize my gpa. When I first enrolled in this class I thought it would be beneficial to the field I wanted to study but it appears to longer be that case, as well as this course will also effect my gpa negatively and would really not want that, considering my plans for after my University education. I've tried my best to turn things around but with no prevail. I've talked to my TA and the professor about what can be done and there doesn't appear to be anything to do so I am very much hoping I can drop this lass past the deadline. I was contemplating doing so before the deadline but decided against it, because I was still deciding on a major path but now that I have made up my mind to not pursue my original plan, I no longer need this course and do not want it on my gpa.
