Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Thank you sincerely for reading my letter and taking my appeal into consideration. I am currently a first year undergrad student in the General Arts program, with my projected major as sociology. I am requesting a grade appeal for my SOCY 122 final paper as I feel the mark is not an accurate reflection of my work. I understand that all TA??s assign grades based on what they think the work deserves, however considering that I met certain criteria I don't think my work is worth a fail (42%). I followed a format that my TA recommended and used the assignment outline to make sure I implemented important details such as literature reviews, and describing in detail the methods of study in each literature. I can assure you that I am not asking for a re-grade simply because I am not satisfied with my score, but rather I feel that the way that it was graded was unfair. Even if a re-grade is not possible I would appreciate some more feedback as I felt the feedback I received was minimal.
