Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am writing this to inform you of my intention to drop these two courses. I regret to say that I do not believe I will be able to pass these courses, and I feel it is in my best interest to withdraw from them at this time.

Despite my best efforts, I have struggled to keep up with the course material and work with the Canadian Navy simultaneously, and I am concerned that continuing to pursue these courses will have a negative impact on my overall academic performance. I have chosen to prioritize my military service.

I understand that withdrawing from courses may affect my progress towards graduation, and I am prepared to take the necessary steps to ensure that I remain on track to complete my degree. I am committed to working with my academic advisor to create a new course schedule that will enable me to succeed and make up any credits I may lose as a result of dropping these courses.
