Dr. Jenn Stephenson,

My name is Evan Huys. I am a third-year student in the Concurrent Education program., my major being history. Currently, I am petitioning to late drop HIST 252 (Fall 2022) and HIST 267 (Winter, 2023).

I am petitioning to drop HIST 252 (Fall, 2022) and HIST 267 (Winter, 2023) due to the fact that I have been experiencing extenuating medical circumstances beyond my control. Due to an ongoing mental illness, I was not able to complete the entirety of these courses. I have not felt well enough to complete this form to drop the courses earlier and am only able to complete it, currently, with assistance.

I corresponded with my QSAS advisor, Cristina Cardelus, as well as with the HIST department and they have advised me that petitioning for a late drop is the most appropriate option considering my circumstances. They have also indicated in multiple emails that they support my petitioning of these late drops.

As for my future plans, I have enrolled in two HIST courses for the summer with the hopes of attaining the credits I have missed from HIST 252 and HIST 267.
