Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

New Information: (information added in an email reply sent on April 13, 2023):
I am aware that there is a 1-year deadline to drop a course through an academic petition and would like to pursue only the late drop of BCHM 218 for Winter 2023. I did not drop this course by the March 3rd deadline as I didn't realize how much I was affected by the circumstances mentioned in my appeal in relation to my other courses in that what was occurring was not normal and not truly reflective of my academic performance as evidenced with the other courses I was taking during the Winter 2023 semester. I didn't realize this until after counselling past March 3rd as I was initially not going to appeal as I had strongly believed my failures in this course were solely my fault. I did not realize how these significant psychological events and thinking patterns were debilitating and specific to my performance in BCHM218 because in my other courses this and last semester I generally had normal and healthy thought patterns and relationships to my schoolwork, where I would not fall into an avoidance cycle.
