Petition Letter: I am writing to request permission to repeat the course MATH 121, as the grades for the aforementioned course were released on May 12th, after the deadline to add courses, which was on May 5th. I sincerely believe that retaking this course is essential for my academic progress, as it serves as a prerequisite for second-year studies.
I enrolled in MATH 121 with great enthusiasm, recognising its significance as a foundation for further mathematical concepts and applications. However, despite my best efforts, I unfortunately did not achieve the desired grade. The course material proved to be challenging, and while I sought additional resources and academic support, I was unable to fully grasp the concepts within the given timeframe. As a result, my final grade fell short of the passing requirement.
It is with genuine dedication and a strong commitment to academic excellence that I humbly request the opportunity to repeat MATH 121. Not only do I recognise the importance of understanding the fundamental principles covered in this course, but I also acknowledge its critical role as a prerequisite for second-year studies. The knowledge and skills acquired in MATH 121 lay the groundwork for advanced courses in my chosen field, and successfully completing this course is crucial for my academic progression.
