Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am petitioning to enroll within PHYS 118 for the summer term as due to unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances resulted in the delayed enrollment for the summer course. After having taken PHYS 116 in the winter term, I had believed to have passed my exam and did not believe initially that I would need to enroll within summer school. After returning home from several days without internet access I was disheartened to discover that I had failed my PHYS 116 final and was in need to enroll within a summer course. By this point the deadline had passed resulting in my current situation. As this is a mandatory course for my program it is crucial to take PHYS 118 over the summer as to maintain my current trajectory for graduation and not add another year onto my studies. I believe that I am more than capable of catching up to the current content being covered within class as well as making up for any content from before my enrolment as the course has only just begun.
