Petition Letter: To the Faculty of Arts and Science,
This petition is to be able to admit me into the course COMM631 for the summer term of May-July. I had missed the deadline due to unforeseeable circumstances regarding my mental health and I was unable to finish my winter term until last week. Thus, when trying to enrol in the course for the summer to complete my Certificate of Business, I was unable to, and another term offering is not available. I will not be able to be in Kingston past this summer term, and thus this would be the only time to complete the class. I have already completed 5/6 of the requirements for this degree, and it would be a shame to only have missed one class. I can ensure I am able to catch up, as it has only been a few weeks since the course started. I am also familiar with the professor and can contact him separately to ensure I will be able to be up to date with everything in the class for the term.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: My plan for academic success is that this is my only class for the term, and thus all my focus will go towards it other than my mental health. I also do have resources for aid in the class in case I need a tutor. Additionally, I have only missed 10 days of class, which includes the first week being syllabus week, thus I know I am able to be back on track swiftly. If I am not enrolled in the course, I would not find success as it would mean having to drop my certificate degree after working so very hard, and I would hope to not have to do so. I promise to create a proper academic plan to ensure this course grade will reflect my hard work.
