Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,

I am requesting to drop the course ENGL 200 after the academic deadline. Unfortunately I experienced health issues due to complications with my pregnancy. Although I tried my best to get back on track at the end of the semester (with three weeks left of the winter term), being affected by health complications for months resulted in me performing poorly academically. It is very important for me to do anything that I can to get this grade removed from my transcript, as I plan to apply to teachers college in the future. I would like to retake the course and continue in my studies when I am able to perform properly, and do not want these health issues to affect the future of my academic and life goals.
