Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: My name is Mehar Caur and I am requesting to be able to drop BIOL103 without academic penalty so that the course is removed from my record. During the Winter 2023 term, this course was impacted by my condition for which I now have QSAS Accommodation. I was experiencing a lack of appetite, depressed moods, and the inability to think clearly, during the first month or two of the course, after which I received the help that I needed. My condition prevented me from being able to focus, attend morning tutorials, and function to the best of my ability. It further prevented me from being able to stick to my routines and schedules. One slight error in an assignment or my technical issues with the DSMs prevented me from being able to do anything else due to my condition. I thoroughly enjoyed the course content, however, these instances and periods of time prevented me from performing to the best of my abilities in the course this semester.
