Appeal Grounds Details: The grounds on which i am appealing the associate deans decision is that while she could tell i was eager and wanted to get back to classes she did not see in my petition that i was managing my circumstances properly enough to ensure academic success.
so i am appealing as the things i did and continue to do to manage and improve my well being were not fully stated in the petition letter as i was under the impression based on the documents provided by the school to mainly outline my circumstances that caused the issues to give an understanding of everything that happened and how i was affected, which is why the things i did to cope and manage were not properly stated.
so i would like to provide details about what i did to fill in the gaps that were missing for the associate dean to have a full understanding of everything.

Letter of Explanation for Appeal
Dear Board of Studies,
I am writing to appeal the associate dean’s decision to deny my petition to waive the requirement to withdraw from my program for one year on the grounds that in my original petition some of the information that should have been relayed was not properly relayed in the letter that was provided.
The petition did not overview some of the ways that I was managing and continue to manage the extenuating circumstances I was under, so I would like to present some of the things I had done and ways I am continuing to branch out and utilize all Queens has to offer for support to ensure academic success and maintain good health.
During these difficult times I had reached out to some specialized grief councillors but was unsuccessful with becoming a patient of theirs but through their process to get ahold of them emails were made explaining the grief I was suffering and why I was looking for help and through that process it helped by getting things off my chest and they did see it, but had too many patients to take me on. After that I branched out to grief platforms and decided that because getting things off my chest with no judgement, I submitted documents to grief platforms read other peoples, talked to some grief people online about how all of their outstanding work on grief and grief management had helped me feel less alone and was helping me.
Those platforms and people on them helped me quite a lot and made me realize asking for help and getting help is completely ok and good for everyone even if you aren’t grieving.
The past little while I have been in contact with the undergrad assistant in my department and she has been helping with questions I have about courseloads, courses that could be beneficial for me, talking about options within queens to utilize for therapy, counselling, etc. she has been quite helpful throughout this process and has done a lot aiding me in the best ways to ensure success academically and for my well-being, these resources I have been utilizing and the other resources I am looking into utilizing better at queens, helped manage my circumstances and I will continue to use these resources because over this past year I have begun to wholeheartedly accept help and reach out to ensure I do not fall into a place I was in before.
As well as utilizing the facilities and people available much more I am going to reduce my course load to 4 classes a semester ( which I have already put into my course planner on solus)
I hope through reading this letter you recognize the efforts I am and will continue to put forth In regards to my circumstances and my academics, thank you so much for your time.
