Petition Letter
Petition Letter: Dear Associate Dean,
My name is Linxi Kuang, and I am writing this letter with my sincere thoughts to ask you to waive the petition deadline for me.
I received an academic standing decision letter on May 23rd. In the beginning, I was nervous and worried. I don't know what should I do next and feel sad and depressed. Then I started to review the past two terms to find out why this happened. After a deep reflection not only on study method, time management, and stress handling. I realized that the study pressure and the loss of my close pat friend did affect me, and I also need to change myself in order to improve and achieve my academic goal. I started to draft the petition in early June and did several revisions to express myself clearly and set a comprehensive plan. However, I was focusing on the letter's content and did notice the delivery method is in person. I only remember there was an email and submitted a petition letter email on June 13th which is the deadline. By the time I received the reply on the 15th stating that the email was not accepted, I realized the petition was submitted unsuccessfully and I have missed the initial deadline.
I really wish you could accept my request and waive the petition deadline for me. Therefore, I could have the opportunity to deliver my petition in order to continue my study in the coming terms.
Sincerely,
