Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I applied and was accepted into 2 field courses this summer, BIOL 307 (which I completed), and BIOL 317 (which I chose not to go on). These field courses were enrolled for me into SOLUS by a Biology Academic Advisor, so I assumed the one I did not go on would be dropped for me as well. I did not want to pay the exorbitant travel costs to get to Yellowknife for BIOL 317, so I did not pay any fees and contacted the instructor that I was not partaking in the course. Unfortunately, the course still was showing up on my SOLUS which created a hold on my record that I was unaware of. I did not personally add this course to my SOLUS account, did not pay any money, and did not travel to the course location, and therefore expected it to have been dropped from my SOLUS as well. Can this BIOL 317 course please be dropped from my summer transcript? Thank you very much!
