Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am petitioning for Aegrotat standing in PSYC 236 (Fall 2022). Due to exacerbation of my mental health disability, I was unable to complete the final exam for this course. From the Fall to the Summer 2023 term, I have struggled with the effects of my disability. I have taken steps to get better support and manage my condition and am confident in my ability to succeed in my studies moving forward. I have completed all the assignments within the course and have also met the required learning outcomes. I have come to realize that switching majors is the best decision for my success and have therefore decided to minor in psychology instead. I have given this a lot of consideration and believe that working with my counselor and family doctor will enable me to actively participate and excel in all my courses moving forward.
