Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am submitting this petition as I believe there has been a mistake with the hold placed on my account. I received a GPA warning in winter of last year that mentioned I needed to maintain a GPA of 1.6 to avoid the requirement to withdraw. However, I currently have a GPA of 2.6 in my program and yet I still have a hold placed on my account. This is prohibiting me from enrolling in courses for both fall and winter. As I only have two courses remaining in my degree this is very difficult. I have also continued renting housing and remained in Kingston as an out of province student due to my understanding that I had avoided this requirement to withdraw. The reason I am providing this petition now is that one of the courses I require is a full year lab course and as such must be done in person, it would be incredibly beneficial to take this course beginning this fall in order to graduate in the spring opposed to taking another full year for a single course.
