Petition Letter: Dear Queen's

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to request an exception to add GNDS 335 after the deadline has passed. I understand the importance of complying with the universities academic deadlines, but I believe this course is crucial towards my academics as this is one of my requires credits towards my minor degree plan.
Additionally, I have also had this professor in previous years and enjoyed her classes and remained in good academic standing throughout the entire term of the course.

If granted this opportunity, I am committed to catching up on the course material by:

1. Self-Studying: I will review all missed lectures, readings, assignments, etc. to ensure I understand the missed content.

2. Seeking guidance: Since I have peers who are currently enrolled in this course, I would be able to rely on them for any further clarification on the content I have missed, as well as actively engaging with the professor to seek additional guidance on grasping course material.

3. Extra effort: As I have a fairly relaxed course load this semester, this allows me plenty of time to dedicate extra effort towards this class by attending office hours, or completing extra readings or research on my own time if needed.
