Subject: Petition for Late Class Selection

I hope this letter finds you in good health. I am writing to petition for an exception regarding my late class selection for this academic semester at Queens University. I understand the importance of adhering to deadlines, and I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience my situation may have caused. I believe that the extenuating circumstances I encountered were beyond my control and significantly impacted my ability to meet the class selection deadline.
The extenuating circumstance that adversely affected my ability to meet the class selection deadline was my responsibility to cover my grandmother's medical bills, which coincided with the payment of my tuition fees. The financial burden was considerable, and I had to allocate a significant portion of my resources to ensure that my grandmother received the necessary medical care. As a result, I faced a unique and challenging situation that required my immediate attention and financial support.
Compounding this situation was my commitment as a full-time student-athlete at Queens University. My involvement in football demanded an intensive training and competition schedule, spanning seven days a week and often requiring me to be engaged at all hours of the day. Balancing my academic responsibilities and athletic commitments proved to be a daunting challenge, further limiting my ability to address my tuition payment and class selection promptly.
I made every effort to secure the necessary funds to cover my tuition fees throughout the summer, but due to the time-consuming nature of my athletic commitments, I was unable to do so until a few days after the start of the semester. Once I had the funds, I promptly paid my fees; however, there was a delay in processing the payment, causing it to be posted to my university account after the class selection deadline of September 18th.
I recognize the importance of adhering to deadlines, and I genuinely regret any disruption my late class selection may have caused. I assure you that I am committed to my academic and athletic responsibilities and have a strong desire to succeed at Queens University. The circumstances I faced were indeed exceptional, and I was unable to predict or control their timing and impact on my academic schedule.
In light of these extenuating circumstances, I kindly request that the university grant me an exception to the class selection deadline and allow me to enroll in my preferred courses for the upcoming semester. I am dedicated to making the necessary adjustments in my schedule to catch up on any missed coursework and ensure that my academic performance remains of the highest quality. I appreciate your understanding and consideration of my situation.
Thank you for taking the time to review my request. I look forward to your favourable response and the opportunity to continue my academic journey at Queens University.
Sincerely,
Ajang Dut Chol

Dear Committee,

I am writing with genuine sincerity to request an extension for the upcoming deadline. I have faced challenging extenuating circumstances, which have fortunately been resolved. If this petition is granted, I am wholeheartedly dedicated to making up for lost time and excelling academically. Your understanding and support mean the world to me. I have already made arrangements to manage time to catch up academically. I will make sure to communicate with my professor to fully understand what needs to be done. Finally make sure that I am utilizing the beautiful resources that queens university has to offer me. Thank you for listening and reading through my request.

Warm regards,
Ajay Chol,
