Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am currently not enrolled into any classes for the 2023-2024 academic year due to the fact that I have an overdue balance on my Solus account from the winter semester. OSAP won't release my funding until proven that I am enrolled into full-time studies at Queens. I have applied for the appeal with debt and was approved but one of my conditions was for me to pay $7500 before they can release a hold from my account so I can enroll. Unfortunately since I was approved days before September 18th which was the last day to add courses I did not have the $7500 at the time to pay, as I am an independent student with little to no help from my parents. I have spoken to financial advisers/ bursaries and awards, fees department and even the art and science faculty but nothing could be done until the debt is paid. As of right now I have $7500 to pay the debt to be enrolled, the only issue is that I have passed the add date. I am eager to be enrolled to continue my studies at queens. I have been keeping up with my “courses” as much as I physically can without being enrolled so I don't fall too far behind. I am prepared to complete any assignments or tests to catch up. The current courses I have in my shopping cart waiting to be enrolled are SOCY 122A , IDIS 173, PHIL 111A, POLS 110A. I can provide any appeal documentation if needed.
