Petition Letter: I am very sorry for choosing to drop this course after the deadline, but after entering my third year, due to the increasing difficulty of core and lab courses, my exam and homework grades are not good as before for really long time. After persisting in studying this course for a period of time, I found it difficult for me to invest my energy in this course dur to huge assignment or exam pressure form my other core courses. In order to adjust my status and allow me to devote more energy to my core courses, I think I need to reduce one course to reduce my psychological and academic stress, put more energy into my core courses and lab. Especially after last week's fever, this further interferes with my studies (for which I also applied for an extension of my lab report), which made it even more difficult for me to coordinate the pressure. But after balancing my pressure this semester, I will re-choose this course next year.
