Petition Letter: I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inform you that I am facing significant challenges in keeping up with the demands of SPAN 111. Regrettably, I must request to withdraw from the course due to personal circumstances that have profoundly impacted my ability to balance academic and personal responsibilities.

Recently, I experienced the sudden loss of a close cousin in my home country, and I find myself struggling to process this traumatic event fully. As a result, I have fallen behind not only in SPAN 111 but also in my core classes. Despite my genuine enjoyment of SPAN 111, the current circumstances have made it impossible for me to devote the necessary time and energy to the course.

I have attempted to take a step back from my academic commitments to give myself the space to heal. Unfortunately, this has proven to be challenging due to the overwhelming demands of these courses. The lack of a proper break has intensified my stress and anxiety levels, disrupting my sleep schedule and affecting my ability to maintain a healthy eating routine.

I genuinely hope to return and complete the course in the future when I am better equipped to manage my academic responsibilities.
