Petition Letter: To Whom it May Concern,
My name is Sydney Garrah and my student number is 20397338. I am currently in first year general science, with a hope of specializing in Environmental Science. My initial intention for taking CISC 101 was to acquire coding skills, an area in which I had no prior experience. By the time the course drop deadline arrived, I had only received one grade, which was from a test in the course. However, after recently receiving my second mark on November 15th, I realized I was not doing well in this elective course even though I was spending a considerable amount of time on this elective course which was negatively impacting my time spent on my core courses.
Given that this decision was made after the official deadline for dropping a course, I am reaching out to explain the extenuating circumstances that led to this delayed consideration. I understand the importance of adhering to established deadlines, and I sincerely hope that the circumstances surrounding this request are taken into account. I believe that dropping the course will enable me to focus on my academic goals and contribute positively to my overall academic performance.
Please reach out to me if you require any more information,
