Petition Letter

Petition Letter: To Whom It May Concern,
Hello,
My name is Chaemin Park(20233563). I am currently a first-year student pursuing a degree in economics. Over the past four months, I have had the opportunity to experience university life at Queen's, and I am grateful for the valuable lessons and experiences I have gained during this time. However, I have come to realize that my values and future aspirations do not align well with the university environment, and I have encountered unforeseen financial challenges that make it difficult for me to continue my education here.
My decision to withdraw from Queen's University is primarily driven by academic considerations. While I acknowledge and appreciate the rigorous academic environment that Queen's offers, I have come to understand that my desired career path is better suited to a different educational approach. I believe that attending a college program will provide me with the hands-on, practical skills and knowledge that align more closely with my chosen field.
Furthermore, I have encountered academic challenges that have made it increasingly difficult for me to excel in my coursework. Despite my best efforts, I have found it challenging to maintain the level of academic performance that I aspire to achieve at Queen's. These challenges have caused me considerable stress and have adversely affected my overall learning experience.
I want to emphasize that my decision to withdraw is not taken lightly. I have consulted with academic advisors and mentors, all of whom have supported my choice after considering the academic challenges I face and the better fit that a college education would provide. I am fully committed to continuing my education and pursuing my career goals, and I believe that attending a college will allow me to do so more effectively.
I kindly request your understanding and support in processing my course drop. I am aware of the university's policies regarding course withdrawals and am prepared to follow the necessary procedures to ensure a smooth transition out of Queen's.
I want to express my gratitude to you and the entire faculty for the knowledge and insights I have gained during my time at Queen's University. I have learned valuable lessons both inside and outside the classroom, and I am confident that these experiences will continue to shape my academic and personal growth in the future.
Thank you for your time and consideration of my request. If you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact me via email at 20cp1@queens.ca. I would be more than happy to provide any additional details or clarification as needed.
I appreciate your understanding and support in this matter and look forward to a smooth and amicable resolution. I wish you and the department continued success in your academic endeavors.
Sincerely,
