Petition Letter: I hope this letter finds you well. I'm writing to formally request that the ECON 111 course be removed from my current semester's curriculum. I am aware of how crucial it is to continue my academic education, but regrettably, I have experienced unavoidable events that have made it difficult for me to do well in this specific course.
Unexpected obstacles have arisen in the last few months, most notably in relation to my mental health and an unintended pregnancy. My general well-being has suffered as a result of these problems, which has impacted my academic achievement. These circumstances have had a significant negative influence on my ability to focus and concentrate on my coursework, even with my best attempts to manage them.
I understand how crucial it is to meet academic requirements and keep up a high standard of performance. But I think that these conditions have compromised my ability to perform as well as possible in ECON 111 in a way that I cannot control. I would be able to devote more time and focus to my remaining coursework and address and overcome the challenges I am currently facing if I were to drop this course.
I promise that I'm still focused on achieving my academic objectives, and I'll make sure that this setback doesn't stop me from moving forward as a whole. I would be more than happy to talk about other options or offer any supporting materials in order to make my case for dropping ECON 111.
