Petition Letter: Hi there,

My name is Zya and I started my post-secondary education at Queen's University in September of 2020. For my second year at Queen's, I moved on campus in the fall of 2021, as we were told classes were finally going to be delivered in person due to COVID-19. When I arrived in September, classes began being offered online due to the rise in COVID-19. This took a huge toll on my mental health, and after first-term exams, I decided I needed to move home to British Columbia. I spoke with an academic advisor to see if I could continue my 2nd term from home since courses were delivered online, though due to exams still being delivered in person and being enrolled as an on campus student, this was unfortunately not an option for me. Because of this, the best option was to transfer out of Queen's altogether and continue my second term at a local college near my home.

Only now, 2 years later, am I being made aware that I was automatically enrolled in these two courses (that I now have F's in) without any notification of being registered. I am petitioning to have these two courses dropped off my transcript as I did not partake in either of these courses, nor was I aware that I was even enrolled, and I had no intention of continuing these courses at Queens in the winter term of 2022.
