Petition Letter
Petition Letter: I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to formally petition for the opportunity to drop the course PHYS 115 due to extenuating circumstances that have significantly impacted my academic performance.
Unfortunately, I have been facing unforeseen medical challenges, which have had a profound effect on my ability to fully participate in the course. I have been in contact with Professor Topper, and she has suggested that I consider petitioning to drop the course as a result of these extenuating circumstances.
The nature of these challenges is of a personal and medical nature, and it has become increasingly difficult for me to meet the requirements of the course. I am committed to being transparent about my situation and would like to emphasize that these circumstances are beyond my control. To support my petition, my psychologist, Dr. Renelli, has kindly agreed to provide any necessary supporting documentation that may be required to validate the impact of these challenges on my academic performance.
I understand the importance of following university policies and procedures, and I am prepared to provide any additional documentation or information required to facilitate the evaluation of my petition. I am committed to resolving these challenges and am exploring options to ensure that I can successfully complete the course at a later date when my circumstances allow for a more conducive learning environment.
I kindly request your understanding and consideration in this matter. I believe that the extenuating circumstances I am facing are beyond my control and have had a direct and adverse impact on my academic performance in PHYS 115.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to any guidance or instructions you can provide regarding the petition process, and I am available to provide any additional information or documentation as needed.
