Petition Letter
Petition Letter: Dear Dean,
I am writing to request an appeal to drop and remove the following courses off my transcript: CISC 223, CISC 204, MATH 121.
There were several factors that contributed to my current academic standing. I have been dealing with some problems in my past and it has had a big affect on my focus, concentration and my ability to do well on my studies. I have also had a bike accident two weeks ago and sustained a concussion and a broken elbow which also made it difficult for me to continue my education. My counsellor had advised me to drop these courses and re-take them next year. I am a hardworking student and I wouldn't like my difficulties now affect my entire university grades. Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Latifa.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: Dear Dean,
The steps I am going to take next year to assure successful academic progress in the future will be:
1) Take less courses so I could remove some of the stress that I have been dealing with.
2) Continue counselling and dealing with the past in safe ways.
3) Obtain a tutor for the classes I have difficulty with.
4) Meet with my instructors to talk to them about any concerns I might have or talk to them about what they believe might improve my ability to do better in the class.
5) Go to class on time as scheduled.
Sincerely,
Latifa.
