I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to request permission to withdraw from the PHYS 115 course due to unforeseen and personal circumstances. Unfortunately, my grandmother passed away from pancreatic cancer earlier this month, and the mental toll has made it challenging for me to concentrate on preparing for PHYS 115.
I understand the importance of maintaining academic standards, but I believe this extenuating circumstance has significantly affected my ability to perform at my best in PHYS 115.
I am committed to resuming my studies in the winter term and appreciate your assistance during this difficult time.
