Petition Letter

Petition Letter: I've struggled to keep up with my coursework for GRMN 102 as I've had a significant depressive bout that has impacted my ability to do well in several of my courses. I've been trying to re-enter the Comp-Sci faculty after having had to change plans last school year and have been re-taking two of my critical courses from the previous year. I took the opportunity during the preceding summer to start undergoing treatment for ADHD, and have been medicated since which contributed to my success with electives and retaking a course last term but have had some inter-personal issues since which caused me a great deal of anxiety and contributed to a slow start from last term. For reference I had taken 101 the previous term and had done reasonably, and the initial period of 102 was a review term but I wasn't able to catch up in time and struggled during many assessments. Because of this I was unable to do as well as I ought to as I was trying to catch up with second year comp-sci courses during this period as well and so I believe it's best that I drop the course. I have been having regular appointments with my Family Doctor regarding my medication treatment for ADHD, and plan to start visiting the psychologist I consulted before starting my medication last summer again. I was told by my GRMN 102 Instructor that documentation was not required for courses dropped before the end of classes, but please let me know if this is incorrect.
