Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,
This is Frank. I'm writing to request a late drop of STAT263. Ever since the beginning of this term, I've been affected by a mental disorder, now assuming to be depression, and it has been impacting my ability to do anyting for a long time. In the past, I reached out to QSAS many times, but their assistance were completely ineffective. On April 2nd, a psychiatrist in Hotel Dieu Hospital prescribed Risperdone to me. Unfortunately, until now its effect is somewhat subtle. After discussing with Mrs. Daralyn Auld, the academic advisor, she recommended me to submit this academic petition to drop STAT263 late. I hope to visit another psychiatrist in May.
Finally please accept my sincere apology for such a late petition. As I've mention above, I had tried my best to mitigate the impact of the current mental disorder, but none of my attempts succeded. Now because of this 'ghost' looming over me, I cannot focus to do virtually anything. Thank you for your kind assistance.
