Petition Letter: Dear Dean.
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to respectfully request a regrade of Quizzes 1 and 3 in the BIOL 369 course that I took in Fall 2023. I believe that this reevaluation is necessary due to concerns regarding the grading of these specific assessments.
As a dedicated student, I strive to perform to the best of my abilities in all academic endeavors. Upon receiving the results for these quizzes, I found that the grades did not reflect my understanding of the material covered, nor did they seem consistent with the feedback received throughout the course.
I am aware of the high standards of fairness and academic integrity upheld by our institution, and it is in this context that I seek a second review of these quizzes. A regrade would help ensure that the grading reflects a fair and accurate assessment of my work according to the established criteria.
I request this regrade not out of disregard for the initial grading process but out of a desire to ensure that all students' work is evaluated accurately and fairly. I believe that a review of my responses in comparison to the grading rubric will confirm the necessity for adjustment of the scores awarded.
