Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: In January of 2024, I decided that continuing my degree at Queens University while living in Ottawa was not the right pathway for me. I was undergoing a lot of stress having to drive back and forth and decided that I was going to switch to an institution closer to me. While making that decision, I was going through a very stressful time as I worked hard to get to the point I was at with my Queens degree. In the midst of transferring and changing my degree plan, I did not drop RELS 131 in time and because of my situation, I did not complete ANY assessments or work for RELS 131B throughout the semester due to my change which resulted in an F on my transcript. I would appreciate it if I could be granted a DR on my transcript for RELS 131 due to my situation as I was going through a stressful time making a difficult decision and that led me to be caught off guard for dropping RELS 131 by the deadline.
