Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,

I am writing to petition the removal of my D- grade in Intro to Psychology and request that it be changed to Credit standing. I believe this grade does not accurately reflect my performance in the course.

During the transition from Bader, I encountered significant challenges that affected my ability to perform academically. Unfortunately, I was dealing with health issues upon returning to campus, which greatly impacted my attendance and participation in classes and labs. Despite my best efforts, I struggled to keep up with the demands of the course due to these medical concerns.

Recently, above already dealing with autoimmune disease, I was diagnosed with asthma, a condition that was not identified during my time at Queens University. This diagnosis led to numerous hospital visits and further exacerbated my academic difficulties. As a result, my grades suffered significantly, and I was unable to demonstrate my true capabilities and dedication to the course.

I kindly request your understanding and consideration in this matter. Removing the D- grade and granting me Credit standing would accurately reflect my academic performance under challenging circumstances. Thank you for your attention to this petition.
