Petition Letter:
My names Yasmine Hamze 20231380 as a student enrolled in phil 351 instructed by Professor Lopez, I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the grading process and lack of professionalism displayed by Professor Lopez. I firmly believe that there have been significant instances of bias, error, and procedural unfairness in the evaluation of my work, particularly evident during the final exam. Additionally, I have encountered unprofessional behavior when seeking assistance or clarity from Professor Lopez.
Throughout the semester, I have diligently worked on assignments, striving to meet the high expectations set by Professor Lopez. However, the feedback provided on my work has been minimal and vague, making it challenging for me to understand how to improve. Despite my efforts to seek guidance and clarification from Professor Lopez on numerous occasions, I was met with dismissiveness and a lack of professionalism.
Despite my best efforts to align with the expectations outlined in the rubric, I consistently received poor marks. Seeking assistance proved futile as my inquiries were dismissed. It feels unjust, as I suspect Professor Lopez found it convenient to grade my final exam harshly based on his perception of my previous work. Despite my attempts to improve with each assignment, I encountered the same vague feedback:
