I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally request a withdrawal from the drawing course ARTF 101 for the summer. This request is due to a combination of factors that have severely impacted my ability to keep up with the course requirements.
As a first-time participant in a drawing course, I encountered significant challenges with the course's pace and demands. I found myself spending an inordinate amount of time on each assignment—often several hours per task—which resulted in considerable mental strain. This intense focus on one course detracted from my ability to manage my other academic responsibilities effectively.
In addition to the demanding nature of the drawing course, I was concurrently engaged in searching for co-op opportunities, a critical component of my academic and professional development. The time and effort required for this search significantly limited my availability for coursework, exacerbating my situation.
Despite my genuine interest in drawing and my initial commitment to complete the course, I had to confront the reality that it was not feasible to meet the deadlines. Unfortunately, by the time I reached this conclusion, the withdrawal deadline had passed. I am requesting that you consider these extenuating circumstances and allow me to withdraw from the course without it negatively impacting my transcript.
