Petition Letter: Dear Dr. Barbara Crow,
I am petitioning to be allowed to take 21.0 units in Fall 2024 and Winter 2025. I am pursuing an honours degree in computer science, however I would like to be able to apply for a second degree in linguistics and psychology immediately after, as computer science and linguistics are not offered as joint honours degrees. To that end I am attempting to complete all the 180.0 units that would be required for this in the span of 4 years. I am taking summer courses to help with that, however the summer course offerings are limited, and I would like to have more space to take more electives, as most of the ones allowed in either degree will be used in an overlap. I took 18.0 units in Winter 2024 which was not extremely difficult for me, and my current GPA is 4.220. This is why I am hoping to be allowed to expand that to 21.0 units this year.

Academic Plan: As outlined in the letter above, I am hoping to complete two consecutive Bachelor’s degrees, to which end I am hoping to be allowed to take 21.0 credits per term, in addition to the summer courses.
