Petition Letter: Hello,

I hope you are doing well, my name is Ariel Karanxha, and I am writing to formally request a reconsideration regarding my enrollment in a 200-level EMPR course that I require for my academic progression.

Upon reviewing my academic requirements after the first enrolment period, I realized that I was missing this important course. Unfortunately, during the registration period, all available sections were filled, and I was unable to enroll despite my repeated checks. I mistakenly believed the drop date was later, which contributed to my delay in addressing this issue. Recently, I noticed that spots finally opened up, but it was too late for me to make a change.

These circumstances have significantly impacted my academic planning. I am concerned that if I am unable to take the 200-level course this year, it will disrupt the sequencing of my animation courses. Specifically, my 400-level animation course is scheduled before the 300-level course, which would hinder my ability to perform at my best.

I also began the year with very poor health, including a severe ear infection and COVID-19. Because of this, I had to miss crucial aspects of the class. This class is very hands-on, and due to my absence, I am now behind and unsure if I will be able to complete it to the best of my ability.

I understand the importance of adhering to academic policies, but I kindly ask for your consideration of my situation. I am committed to my education and have sought guidance to better manage my time and responsibilities moving forward. Taking this course this year is vital for my success.
