Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I have previously submitted this petition this week and got into one of those classes and was advised to submit another one. As I have said in my previous letter I have had some difficulty over the last year and a half with family medical issues and relationship problems and have since seen a counsellor and other people throughout the university. During this time I dropped courses for the winter term and was under the impression that I had also dropped my summer courses (I met with someone in person who handled it all and thought they had included the summer courses as well). During the summer time I had no access to a phone or wifi after getting out of my relationship and being forced to live in my car and had no phone plan. I did not know I was in the summer courses and therefore did not participate or pay the tuition. Later into the summer I stayed with a friend on their couch and got this sorted and applied to drop the summer courses and then get a refund for the tuition to have the hold taken off. This process took weeks and resulted in me not hearing back until September 18th 2024. I submitted my first appeal to add courses late on that same day and have been busy enrolling in classes ever since. I need to enrolled in 3 fall courses and 3 winter courses in order to qualify for full time studies (60%) which is something I need in order to continue with the financial aid I am receiving at this time. I can dedicate my full attention to these courses and have already spoken with both professors and got their approval as well as contacted them about anything missed so far and they have all said I should be able to catch up without an issue.
