Petition Letter: Dear ArtSci board,
I am so sorry to bother you with this petition- however I have been under a great deal of stress this term- and last school year. I had long term academic consideration because my mother was recently diagnosed with cancer. She has had various surgeries, treatments and a long recovery that has taken quite the toll on my mental health.
I have been trying to go to therapy when I can afford to, but unfortunately my academic focus has suffered. I missed the final assessment in MUSC 171 and there is no way to make up that grade, I also failed the exam and would therefore fail the course with 41.22%. I have completed at least 60% of the course work and so Dr. Pegley recommended I apply for this. I have my professors full support in this. This is one of the last 2 required courses I need to graduate and move onto 5th year Con-Ed in September. Please help me, I really just need to pass this course. Thank you so much for your time.
