Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am writing this letter with hopes of dropping or removing SOCY 122B from my course history. This class, being 6 units, has a big impact on my GPA. In 2020, I did not know how to navigate online courses and teaching myself. I had only ever known being taught in a classroom with plenty of resources and face to face learning. I tried my best in this course, but was unable to pass. I found it very difficult to find the resources I needed to pass because of COVID 19 and it shutting down everything. I was on campus first year and felt extremely isolated and unsure of myself. I did not know what to do after receiving my first ever F mark, and did not deal with it at the time. Removing this course from my GPA or course history will allow me to higher my GPA and be able to graduate this year. I appreciated my time at queens a lot and would be very greatful if my request was considered.
