Petition Letter: To whom this may concern,
My name is Livia Titley, and I dropped BCHM320 on the add/drop deadline because I was trying to decide between which of my courses to keep or drop in order to be taking only four courses this semester. I originally wanted to take only four courses this semester because that has been my preferred workload in the past. I was planning on taking two courses this summer (BIOL404 and a BIOL307 field course) in order to get my 40 courses and 120 credits to graduate next year. However, I have since regretted my decision to drop BCHM320, as I want to learn the material and I realized that the field courses of relevance being offered this summer conflict with my desired lab course, so I can only take one of them. I also am aware that there are not many courses offered during the summer that would not conflict with either of these courses. Along with finding work, I am worried that I will not be able to take another required course this summer.
I would like back into BCHM320 so that I can meet the 120 credit requirement to graduate next year in 2026.
I have already completed the work from the last two weeks for this class, so I am not behind on any course material.
I also have and email with permission from the course instructor, PhD student Kody Klupt (kody.klupt@queensu.ca), stating that he is okay with me re-joining the course and attending class today.
I have additionally messaged the biochemistry department, who stated that I must do a formal petition but otherwise I will be allowed with my instructor Kody's approval.
I hope that you can understand my situation and allow me to re-enter BCHM320 this semester.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: If allowed back into BCHM320, I plan to begin working on my assignments right-away, and will be attending classes in the meantime to ensure that I am on top of the material.
I will also be reducing the time dedicated to some of my extracurriculars in order to adequately complete the course work and assessments.
I am a very hard-working student, and I am up for the challenge of adding this course to take me from four to five courses in this academic term.
