As his primary support during this time, I was preoccupied with coordinating his care and managing family obligations, which left me unable to focus on academic matters, including meeting the registration deadline. The emotional and logistical challenges of this situation were beyond my control, and I was unable to address them until the crisis subsided.

I have since taken steps to stabilize my circumstances and to better manage the effects of this event. I kindly request your understanding and approval to register for GLPH 271 outside the usual deadline to continue pursuing my academic goals without further disruption.
