Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally request permission to enrol in KNPE 493: Special Topics with Dr. Luc Martin after the add/drop deadline.

I was on the waitlist for this course, holding position number 1, until Friday, January 17, which was the final day to add a class. I reached out to the Kinesiology program advisor before the deadline to inquire if an exception could be made for enrolment. Today, Monday, January 20, Dr. Martin graciously granted me permission to join the course, despite the deadline having passed.

As a fourth-year Kinesiology student, seminar courses such as this are integral to my program requirements and my academic progression. KNPE 493 aligns with my academic and professional interests, and its unique content changes annually, making it unlikely I will have another opportunity to take this course before graduating.

With the approval of both the program advisor and Dr. Martin, I would be very grateful for your understanding and consideration in allowing me to enrol in this course after the deadline.
