Dear Faculty of Arts and Sciences,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally petition for a late addition to the course: FILM 112 Film, Media, and Screen Cultures: Theory and Practice Lecture - 5222 for the current semester.

I was placed on the waitlist for this DEVS 101 and was in the 5th position on the list as of the 17th of January. Due to my extremely busy schedule and unexpected circumstances which had heavily impacted my first two weeks of the second semester, I had hoped to be added to the class as space became available, but unfortunately, I could not secure a spot before the course enrollment deadline. After checking SOLUS and visiting the faculty on the 22nd, I was informed that I couldn't enroll in an alternative course. Experiencing this for the first time shows how important it is to focus on deadlines and be more active and engaged when it comes to the selection of my courses, waitlisted or not.

I am eager to enroll in this course as it aligns with my academic goals and interests. I believe that the content of FILM 122 will greatly contribute to my educational trajectory, and I am committed to catching up with any missed material. It is a course I have great interest in and would be an amazing course to explore!

I respectfully request your consideration for a late addition. Should you approve my petition, I would be happy to discuss any additional steps I need to take to ensure my success in the class.
