Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: To those it may concern,

Over the last two years I have been actively pursuing assessment and treatment for multiple mental conditions that have become a growing burden on my academic life each semester. The winter semester of last year I had begun my first couple tries of medication which left me in continuous depression cycles, constantly unable to sleep, eat, or think clearly through the ever-present brain fog. This impacted my ability to attend lectures, participate in tutorials, follow outside course material, and complete assignments. Going into this last fall semester I was excited to apply my diagnoses to QSAS and receive aid but due to several complications, my accommodations were unreliable and sporadically applied. As I begin this new semester I am entering my 6th round of medication and have had my accommodations corrected to best suit my academic needs. I would appreciate the chance to improve my GPA without it being held down by these failed courses remaining on my transcript. If you require any supporting documentation, QSAS has verified an assessment I have provided them.
